Xia (Yuncheng)

Xia ( 夏县 , Xià Xiàn ) is a Chinese district in the prefecture-level city of Yuncheng in the south of Shanxi Province . In 1999 it had 346,144 inhabitants.

The Yuwangcheng site (Yuwangcheng yizhi 禹王 城 遗址), the tomb of Sima Guang (Sima Guang mu 司马 光 墓), the Xiyincun site (Neolithic) (Xiyincun yizhi 西 阴 村 遗址), the Dongxiafeng site (Dongxiafeng yizhi 东下 冯 遗址) ( Bronze Age site ), the Cuijiahe tombs (Cuijiahe muqun 崔家 河 墓群) and the Dayang Taishan miao 大洋 泰山 庙 temple are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China .
