Xiyincun

Xiyincun ( 西 阴 村 遗址 , Xīyīncūn yízhǐ ) or Xiyin is a Neolithic site of the Yangshao culture in the northwest of the village of Xiyin (西 阴 村 Xiyin cun) of the community of Weiguo (尉 郭 乡) of the Xia county of the independent city of Yuncheng in the south the Chinese province of Shanxi . It was discovered in 1926 by the Chinese archaeologist Li Ji ( Wade-Giles : Li Chi; 1896–1979).

The Xiyincun site ( Xiyincun yizhi ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (4-5) since 1996 .
