Xiahou Wei

Xiahou Wei was an officer of the Chinese Wei Dynasty to the Three Kingdoms period .

Life

As one of the sons of the meritorious general Xiahou Yuan , he received part of his troops after his death in the battle of Mount Dingjun ( 219 ). At Sima Yi's suggestion, he and his brother Xiahou Ba led the battle on the Wu Zhang Plains . He later participated in the submission of the governor Gongsun Yuan , who administered Liaodong Province (now North Korea ) and renounced Wei suzerainty.
