Xiajiadian

The Xiajiadian site is an archaeological site in northern China after which Bronze Age cultures are named. It is located in Chifeng , Inner Mongolia , and was excavated in 1960.

The cultures of the lower and upper stratum of Xiajiadian ( Chinese  夏 家店 上层 文化 , Pinyin Xiàjiādiàn shàngcéng wénhuà , English Xiajiadian Culture, upper stratum or 夏 家店 下层 文化 , Xiàjiādiàn xiàcéng wénhuà , English Xiajiadian Culture, lower stratum ) are after her named. The time of the lower stratum covers the period from 2000 to 1500 BC. BC, the upper layer from 1000 to 300 BC The site provides important material for research into the early Bronze Age in northern China.

The Xiajiadian-sites ( Chinese  夏家店遗址群 , Pinyin Xiajiadian yízhǐ Qun ) in Chifeng ( Neolithic to Warring States Period ) are on the list of since 2006 monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-30).
