Xiao Jianguo ( Chinese  肖建国 ) is a diplomat from the People's Republic of China .

Career

Xiao holds a doctorate in law.

Xiao first worked in the Contracts and Law Department in the Chinese Foreign Ministry, then in the Chinese embassies in the Netherlands and Jamaica and in the Border and Maritime Affairs Department. In 2011, Xiao was appointed deputy governor of Wenshan Autonomous District in Yunnan Province , and was deputy director general of the Department of Border and Marine Affairs from 2015.

On November 9, 2018, Xiao was appointed the new Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to East Timor . He replaced Liu Hongyang in the office. Xiao presented his accreditation to President Francisco Lú-Olo Guterres on November 15, 2018.
