Xinsheng (Aihui)

The "community Xinsheng the Oroqen " ( Chinese  新生鄂伦春族乡 , Pinyin Xinsheng Èlúnchūnzú Xiang ) is a nationality community in the municipality Aihui the prefecture-level city of Heihe in the northeastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang . Xinsheng has an area of ​​1749 km² and around 5000 inhabitants (end of 2009). In 1992, only 953 residents were resident in Xinsheng, around 18% of whom were Oroqen. The parish is located in the northwest of the borough and is bordered to the north by Huma County in the Great Hinggan Mountains District . It stretches across the Small Hinggan Mountains , so that the landscape is mainly characterized by mountain taiga . Xinsheng was founded in 1956 to allow the Oroqen, who until then had lived by rambling hunting, to settle down. The name means "new life" and is intended to document this process.

Oroqen

The community is one of the traditional settlement areas of the Birarqen (Birartschen), a subgroup of the Oroqen, which was reinforced in the early 1950s by the immigration of a small number of Kumarqen (Kumartschen), another subgroup. The Oroqen are - next to the Evenks - one of the two northern Tungusian peoples of China.

Xinsheng is made up of three villages. These are:

  • Village Xinsheng the Oroqen (新生鄂伦春族村), center, seat of the municipal government;
  • Xinfa village (新 发 村);
  • Village Xinqing (新青村).
