Xiong Guobao
Xiong Guobao ( Chinese 熊 国宝 , born November 1, 1962 ) is a former Chinese badminton player .
Career
Xiong Guobao finished second in the men's singles at the 1985 Thailand Open . A year later he won the bronze medal at the Asian Games in mixed with Qian Ping . In 1988 he won again in the men's singles at the Thailand Open and the Swedish Open, in 1989 at the Indonesia Open and the French Open . In 1986, 1988 and 1990 he won the Thomas Cup with the Chinese team. At the Badminton World Cup in 1987 , he was eliminated in the quarter-finals in 1989.
