Xiwengzhuang

Xiwengzhuang ( Chinese  溪 翁 庄鎮  /  溪 翁 庄镇 , Pinyin Xīzwēnghuāng Zhèn ) is a large community in the center of the Miyun district of the government- direct city ​​of Beijing . Xiwengzhuang has an area of ​​73 km² and 19,811 inhabitants (end of 2010). West of the village Jinpoluo is the receiving station Miyun of the Center for operation and control of the payloads , a unit of the Center for projects and technologies for the use of space of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the data receiving station Miyun of the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth Sciences , Chinese Academy of Sciences (中国科学院 遥感 与 数字 地球 研究所).

history

In 1961, at the end of the great leap forward , that is, relatively late, the People's Commune Xiwengzhuang (溪 翁 庄 公社) was founded in the area of ​​today's large community . In 1981 the village of Xiwengzhuang was split off from this and made a large community. In 1983, as part of the reform and opening-up policy, the rest of the people's commune was dissolved and converted into a community , which was united with the larger community in 1986. While the 14 original villages of the People's Commune have been preserved to this day, the number of communities in the main town of Xiwengzhuang grew from six in 1996 to seven in 2002 to eight in 2018.
