history
Based on the single-seater Xtreme 3000 experimental construction , a further development was made into an approved sports aircraft , the XtremeAir XA41 . Type approval according to EASA CS-23 took place on March 18, 2011 . The approval was completed at the newly built location in Cochstedt near Magdeburg. The complete production and assembly of the XA42 takes place here.
The Flying Bulls Aerobatics Team has been using the XA42 since 2014 .
construction
The XA42 is an "unlimited aerobatic" aircraft. The two-seater full CFRP aircraft is a low-wing model with a conventional tail unit. The aircraft is equipped with a three-blade controllable pitch propeller from MT. The aircraft was certified in the aerobatic and utility classes according to CS-23 in March 2011. Another approval was granted in November 2012 by the American aviation authority FAA .
The large control surfaces in conjunction with consistent lightweight construction enable high maneuverability while reducing the control forces. The single-seat variant XA41 was approved by EASA in February 2012 .
