Xtreme Fighting Championships
The Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC) is one of the leading mixed martial arts organizations in the USA . It organizes stadium competitions and international championships in the USA, runs mixed martial arts schools and sells themed merchandising items. From Tampa , Florida , the association markets its competitions and TV rights in twelve countries. In 2007, the XFC was recognized by the Tampa Tribune for selling more than 11,000 tickets to an MMA event. In 2008, Yahoo Sports recognized the XFC as the "Best Kept Secret in Sports".
The XFC is more grassroots than other MMA associations. Through training in an MMA martial arts school, participation in XFC amateur events and entry to the professional level, hitherto undiscovered talents should also be promoted. For this reason, the XFC owns and operates training facilities for both professional and amateur athletes.
