Yüksel Uğurlu
Yüksel Uğurlu (* 20th century ) is a Turkish journalist , documentary filmmaker, cameraman and author.
Life
In 1983 Uğurlu was also seen as a television actor - in a larger role in the ZDF series Das kleine Fernsehspiel . He got his first experience behind the camera with Detlev Buck's debut First the work and then? (1984) and as assistant director for the award-winning feature film 40 qm Deutschland (1986).
He worked as a cameraman on the documentary film Tod in Tehran (2005), nominated for the Adolf Grimme Prize in 2006, from the series die story . One of his own films from the same series, Crazy - A Muslim Woman Steps out of Line (2007), which he made together with Cornelia Uebel , received a nomination for the CIVIS Media Prize . Together with Cornelia Uebel he made numerous other documentaries for the WDR program, for example a detailed portrait of the doctor Reiner Körfer or a search for traces of the Yimpaş affair, the major system fraud against Turks in Germany.
His report on the Gülen movement “The Imam's Silent Army” in the series “Die Story” was surprisingly canceled on the planned broadcast day, June 25, 2012 in the WDR program and was only released on April 15, 2013 under the new title “The long arm of the Imam ”.
