Yacob Mulugetta

Yacob Mulugetta (* around 1973) is an Ethiopian climate scientist . He is Professor of Energy and Development Policy at University College London .

Life

From 2010 to 2013 Mulugetta worked for the Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa , where he helped set up the African Center for Climate Policy (ACPC).

Mulugetta is one of the main coordinating authors of the chapter on energy systems in the Fifth Assessment Report of the IPCC (2014). He is also one of the authors of the special report 1.5 ° C global warming by the IPCC (2018).
