Yada'ib Yigal I.

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yada'ib Yigal ( Qataban ydʿʾb ygl Yadaʿʾib Yigal), son of Dhamar'ali , was a king of the old South Arabian empire of Qataban . He ruled after Hermann von Wissmann around 375 BC. After Kenneth A. Kitchen and Jacqueline Pirenne around 290–260 BC. BC, at times with the co- gentleman Hauf'amm Yuhan'im , son of Sumuhuwatar .

Yada'ib Yigal is known from three inscriptions. This includes a decree that the war waged by a certain Yadhmurmalik against the Sabaean rulers Yada'il Bayyin II. , Sumuhu'ali Yanuf III. and Yitha'amar Watar II mentioned. There is also a building inscription, which reports on the construction of a dam in Baihan al-Kisab , and a fragment of such an inscription. Another inscription is also legal and regulates land ownership. An inscription found in Asir , written under a king of that name, could also come from his reign.
