Haliburton County is a county in the southeast of the Canadian province of Ontario . The county seat is Minden Hills . The population is 17,026 (2011), the area 4071.86 km², which corresponds to a population density of 4.2 inhabitants per km². In the north, the county named after Thomas Chandler Haliburton borders on Algonquin Provincial Park .
