Frontenac County is a county in the southeast of the Canadian province of Ontario . The county seat is Kingston . The population is 149,738 (2011), the area 3787.79 km², which corresponds to a population density of 39.5 inhabitants per km². The county is on the north bank of Lake Ontario , at the outflow of the Saint Lawrence River .
