Simcoe County is a county in the southwest of the Canadian province of Ontario . The county seat is Springwater . The population is 446,043 (2011), the area 4859.16 km², which corresponds to a population density of 91.8 inhabitants per km². The county is named after John Graves Simcoe and is located between the Georgian Bay of Lake Huron and Lake Simcoe .
