Yaki-Da was a Swedish pop duo that had a hit in Europe and the United States in 1994 with I Saw You Dancing .
biography
During the wave of success of the Swedish group Ace of Base , its member and producer Jonas Berggren initiated the Yaki-Da project. He wrote lyrics as well as music and, with John Ballard, produced the songs in a similar style. He engaged Marie Knutsen and Linda Schönberg as singers . The single I Saw You Dancing from the 1995 debut album Pride made it to the German (65th) and US charts (54th). There were no further successes. The second album A Small Step for Love also went unnoticed in 1999.
