Yakky Doodle is an animated series and cartoon character produced by the Hanna Barbera Studios. The 32-part series was produced from 1960 to 1962.

Yakky Doodle is a naive duckling who repeatedly falls into the clutches of ravenous villains like Fibber Fox or Alfy Gator , but who always escapes the terrible fate of being eaten by a hair's breadth. Often his big and powerful friend Chopper , a white bulldog, helps him with this .

Creation and publication

The figure was designed after the character Little Quacker , which appeared in Tom and Jerry in 1950 . As already spoken by Jimmy Weldon, it should sound similar to Donald Duck . After the one-time appearance by Little Quacker. In 1960, Yakky Doodle first appeared in an episode of Augie Doggie & Doggie Daddy . From 1961 the short films with Yakky Doodle ran as part of the Yogi Bear Show .

The series was broadcast in German on regional ARD programs. ARD built the series into Hucky and his friends .

In 1962, Gold Key published a single comic book story with Yakky Doodle.
