The Huckleberry Hound Show ( engl. The Huckleberry Hound Show) is an animated series of Hanna - Barbera studios from the years 1958-1962.

content

Hucky and his friends usually contained three episodes of about 7 minutes. Initially, title hero Hucky, a blue dog, went on his adventure alone. They took him in various roles to the most varied of places, including far into the past. Hucky tried himself as a gladiator , as a Robin Hood , as a giant killer, as a mountie, as an admiral, as a pony express rider, as a big game hunter, as a patrol officer , as a farmer, etc.

Then followed the mice Pixie and Dixie , who always tried to trick the overpowering cat Jinks. Finally, it was Yogi Bear's turn. Together with his little, rather fearful friend Boo-Boo, he made life difficult for Ranger Smith in the fictional Jellystone Park (allusion to the famous Yellowstone National Park ). In the course of the series Yogi met his girlfriend Cindy.

After receiving his own show, The Yogi Bear Show , Yogi was replaced by the duckling Yakky Doodle . Thanks to his naivety, he was always in danger and could often only be saved by his big and above all powerful friend Chopper (a white bulldog ). In the US, however , Yakky Doodle was added to the new Yogi Bear Show , with Hokey Wolf filling up the Huckleberry Hound Show instead .
