Yann Matias Marques (born November 12, 1996 ) is a Luxembourg soccer player with Portuguese roots who has been playing for Progres Niederkorn in the BGL Ligue since summer 2017 .

Career

Until 2015, Yann Matias Marques played in the youth of Sporting Bettemburg and F91 Dudelange .

Active area

During the 2015/16 winter break, he moved on loan to the then second division club Union Titus Petingen , with whom he ended the season as a promoted player in the BGL Ligue . In summer 2017 he then signed a contract with league rivals Progres Niederkorn .

National team

On September 1, 2017, he played for the U-21s of Luxembourg for the first time . He played a total of six games in this selection, but failed to score one goal.

So far he has not played a game for the senior national team , but has been in the squad several times. In a World Cup qualifier against France on March 25, 2017, he was on the bench as well as three days later in the test against the Cape Verdean national team .
