Ekaterina Golubeva

Yekaterina Nikolajewna Golubewa ( Russian Екатерина Николаевна Голубева , also known as Katia or Katerina Golubeva ; born October 9, 1966 in Leningrad , Soviet Union ; † August 14, 2011 in Paris ) was a Russian actress .

Life

Golubewa was discovered by the Lithuanian director Šarūnas Bartas , whom she married for a second time, and with whom she wrote the screenplay for A House in 1997 . She increasingly took on roles in French auteur films , especially in films by Claire Denis and her later partner Léos Carax . She played her last role in the multiple award-winning film Dom s baschenkoj by the Ukrainian director Eva Neymann, which was only released in 2012 after her death.

Yekaterina Golubeva passed away at the age of 44, details of the circumstances of her death were not disclosed. The burial took place in the Paris Père Lachaise cemetery . She was the mother of three children.
