Yilbegän ([jilbe'gæn]; Йилбегән; Yelbegän , Tatar : Cilbegän / Җилбегән) is a multi-headed, man-eating monster in the mythology of the Siberian Siberian Turkic peoples and Tatars .

In some myths, the Yilbegän is described as a winged dragon , a snake-like creature, or as an ogre-like Behemoth who rides an ox with 99 horns. Some epics contain multi-headed Yilbegän as descendants of Altan Sibaldai , the "golden witch" who is a vassal of the underworld . Other epics also describe a Yilbegän as a king named Yelmogus .
