Yılmaz Köksal

Yılmaz Köksal (born November 26, 1939 in Kırşehir , † October 22, 2015 in Sultanbeyli ) was a Turkish actor .

Life

Yılmaz Köksal was born the son of a police officer; his brother Yücel is a cartoonist. After studying at the Institute of Arts in Istanbul, he was initially hired as a sailor for some time. In 1965, director Tunc Basaran engaged him for the leading role in Murtaza , based on the novel by Orhan Kemal . The film marked the beginning of an extremely lively activity for the cinema, in which Köksal was seen mainly in daring roles until the mid-1980s, in which he was also able to prove his physique. He also wrote the script for some films. His filmography includes over 150 appearances.

Since the mid-1990s, Köksal was seen occasionally again; For example, in 2010 an ironic look at his Western Çeko , which he had made forty years earlier, was also shown in the German-speaking world.
