In 1998 he went to Italy to AS Bari . After three seasons he moved to Torino in 2001 , but could not prevail and was loaned to Girondins Bordeaux during the winter break for the second half of the season. In the summer he returned and came to 13 missions in the following season. After the contract expired, he was without a club for half a year from the summer break. For the 2004 season he returned to Sweden and signed with Malmö FF. His contract, which ran until 2007, was not extended, so that he was without a club.
