Jolán Földes

Jolán Földes (also "Yolanda Földes"; * December 20, 1902 in Kenderes , † October 12, 1963 in London ) was a Hungarian writer.

After finishing school in 1921 she went to Paris, in 1941 she emigrated to London.

Her most famous novel was The Street of the Fishing Cat. It is about the difficult life of Hungarian emigrants in Paris after the First World War. With him, Jolán Földes won a competition from the London publisher Pinter in 1936; it has been translated into twelve languages.
