Mimi Kennedy born Mary Claire Kennedy (* 25. September 1948 in Rochester , New York ) is an American actress .

Kennedy began her career in October 1960 at the age of 12 with the Rochester Community Players theater company .

She took her first television role in 1977 in the series 3 Girls 3 . She played her best-known role in the series Dharma & Greg as Abigail O'Neil-Finkelstein, the mother of Dharma. Since 2013 she has played the role of Marjorie in the series Mom .

Kennedy has been married to the teacher Lawrence Edwin Dilg since 1978 and has two children.
