Yolanda Rayo (born March 29, 1968 in Bogotá , Colombia ) is a Colombian salsa musician and actress . It is also known as the "Celia Cruz" of Colombia.

Career

Already in college, Yolanda Rayo discovered that she had a great singing talent and sang in groups such as Orquesta Los Exclusivos de Alex, Chucho Nuncira y la Fuerza Mayor, La Orquesta Yajé, Juancho Torres, Los Diablos del Caribe and Grupo Fuego. Rayo decided to start a solo career. Their first album "Metamorfosis" pays homage to Celia Cruz and Celina González. This made her famous not only in Latin America , but also in the USA . Her husband Alejandro Muñoz had a great influence on her musical development. Yolanda Rayo works for the record label Sonolux. Yolanda Rayo also stars in musical comedies such as Amigo del Alma, Choca los Cinco, Sorprendidas and O Todos en la Cama. She sang the title song "Se dice de mí" in the telenovela "Betty la Fea".
