José Agustín Valbuena Jáuregui (born May 20, 1927 in Zolochiv ) is the former bishop of Valledupar .

Life

José Agustín Valbuena Jáuregui was ordained a priest on November 20, 1949 . Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Valledupar on September 9, 1977 .

The Apostolic Nuncio in Colombia , Eduardo Martínez Somalo , ordained him episcopally on October 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were José Joaquín Flórez Hernández , Archbishop of Ibagué , and Buenaventura Jáuregui Prieto , Bishop Emeritus of Zipaquirá .

On June 10, 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
