The Yortanlı Dam is a dam on the Yortanlı Deresi, a right tributary of the Bakırçay , in the western Turkish province of İzmir .
The Yortanlı Dam is 52.5 meters high and 710 meters long. It is part of a larger water supply system. The dam is intended to irrigate 70 square kilometers of arable land. The project of the Turkish state hydraulic engineering administration dates back to 1993. Flooding was supposed to take place first in 2005, but was initially postponed. The reservoir has been filled since December 2010. When the reservoir was dammed, the ancient site of Allianoi , an archaeological site of which only 20 percent has been excavated, was flooded.
About one kilometer east of the Yortanlı dam, the Çaltıkoru dam was built at the same time .
