Yoshiaki Kawashima
Yoshiaki Kawashima ( Japanese 川島 義 明 , Kawashima Yoshiaki; born May 10, 1934 ) is a former Japanese marathon runner .
In 1955 he was third and in 1956 second in the Yomiuri Zenkoku Marathon in 2:31:29 h and 2:32:35 h. At the Mainichi Marathon in 1956 he won in 2:27:45 h and was then nominated for the Olympic Games in Melbourne , where he was fifth in 2:29:19 h.
In 1957 he was third in the Asahi International Marathon with his personal best of 2:23:09 h. In 1961 he won the Hokkai Times Marathon .
