Yoshiko Yonekura
Yoshiko Yonekura , Japanese 米 倉 よ し 子 , Yonekura Yoshiko , married Yoshiko Tago ( 田 児 よ し 子 , Tago Yoshiko ); (* February 7, 1958 ) is a former badminton player from Japan . Her son Ken'ichi Tago is also a badminton player.
Career
Yoshiko Yonekura won her first Japanese championship title in 1979 in women's singles and doubles with Atsuko Tokuda . With Tokuda she won a total of eight titles by 1987.
At the 1980 World Championships, she celebrated her greatest success in the individual disciplines with bronze in women's doubles, once again with Atsuko Tokuda . In the All England , the pairing was twice in the finals, but lost in both finals. With the Japanese Uber Cup team, she won the World Championship for women's teams in 1978 and 1981.
