Yoshiyuki Katō ( Japanese 加藤 善 之 , Katō Yoshiyuki ; born July 27, 1964 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Katō learned to play soccer on the school team of Gyosei High School . He signed his first contract with Yomiuri in 1983 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League . With the club he became Japanese champions in 1983, 1984, 1986/87, 1990/91 and 1991/92 . With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, the Yomiuri became Verdy Kawasaki . With the club he became Japanese champions in 1993 and 1994 . For the club, he completed 71 first division games. In 1995 he moved to the second division club Fukuoka Blux . In 1995 he became champions of the Japan Football League with the club . At the end of 1995 he ended his career as a football player.
