Youth unemployment and violence are also an issue in Japan . In his documentary, Jean-Pierre Limosin accompanies 20-year-old Naoki, who has also fallen into the maelstrom of violence and idleness. A family friend offers Naoki's mother to send her son to an apprenticeship at the local yakuza . The training should initially last a year, during which time Naoki has to decide whether he would like to lead a life in the mafia .

Jean-Pierre Limosin made a deal with the local yakuza leader: the deal says that nothing will be shown of the activities of the yakuza group that could fall under Japanese criminal law.
