Yu Tao ( Chinese  于濤  /  于涛 , Pinyin Yú Tāo ; born October 15, 1981 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese former football player .

Career

Yu Tao began his career with Shanghai Cable 02 after the club was taken over by Shanghai Shenhua , Yu joined the first team for the 2002 season, where he played 24 games and scored four goals. In the following season he was an important player in the team, as he was flexible and could play several positions in midfield, he was also able to help his team to win the championship. Over the years, Yu has been an integral part of the team despite several coach changes. With 255 stakes Tao is the club's internal player with the most stakes.

On December 20, Yu left his club after ten years on a free transfer and signed a contract with Shanghai Shenxin .

National team

His good performance for Shangha Shenhua during the 2002 season earned Yu a national team appointment . Since then he has played eleven international matches.
