Yuanzhao Temple

The Yuanzhao Temple ( Chinese  圆 照 寺 , Pinyin Yuánzhào sì ), which was previously called the Puning Temple ( 普宁寺 , Pǔníng sì ), is a Buddhist temple in the Wutai Shan Mountains in China. It is located in Taihuai, Wutai County, Shanxi Province . His famous diamond throne pagoda style dagoba was built in 1434 during the Ming Dynasty . The mortal remains of the Nepalese monk Shilisha are kept in it.

As part of the ancient architecture of Wutai Shan (Wutai Shan gu jianzhu qun 五台山 古 建筑 群), the temple has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (2-26) since 1982 .
