Yuchi temple site

The Yuchi temple site or Yuchisi site ( Chinese  尉迟 寺 遗址 , Pinyin Yùchí sì yízhǐ , English Yuchisi site / Yuchi Temple site , sometimes misread as "Weichi Temple site" etc., see web links) is a Neolithic site of the Dawenkou culture north of the Huai He River in the Chinese province of Anhui . It was near the village of Biji (毕集村) the greater community Xuting (许町镇) of the circle Mengcheng discovered and from 1989 to 1995 from the Institute of Archeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciencesexplored. According to the C-14 method, it is dated to 2197–1957 BC. Dated.

The analysis of water vessels and containers unearthed from there revealed that they were used for the production and drinking of alcoholic beverages. The Chinese word , jiǔ is often wrong (Engl. With "wine" wine translated).

The Yuchi Temple site has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-46) since 2001 .
