Yuki Fukushima ( Japanese 福島 由 紀 , Fukushima Yuki ; born May 6, 1993 in Kumamoto Prefecture ) is a Japanese badminton player .

Career

Yuki Fukushima attended Yamada High School in Aomori . During this time she took part in the high school championships (Inter-High), where she came second in singles in 2010, and in 2011 again and also won doubles. At the junior championships in 2010, she also reached second place in singles and doubles. After leaving school, she joined Renesas Semiconductor Kyūshū / Yamaguchi, a subsidiary of Renesas Electronics , and has played for their factory team ever since. In 2012 she reached the quarter-finals of the General Badminton Championships .

Yuki Fukushima finished fifth in the women's singles at the 2011 Junior Badminton World Championships . At the Osaka International 2011 she finished third in the same discipline. A year later she came second in the women's doubles at the Singapore International 2012 . Further starts followed at the Japan Super Series 2012 and the Macau Open 2012 .
