Yuki Nakaji ( Japanese な か じ 有 紀 , Nakaji Yuki ; born September 11, 1964 in Hyōgo Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese manga artist whose works are aimed at young girls, so they can be assigned to the Shōjo genre.

She published her first manga as a professional illustrator in February 1982, at the age of 17, with the short story Seiichirō-chan ni Kubittake in a special edition of the manga magazine LaLa , for which she has been drawing comics since then. Ryōko Yamagishi and Yumiko Ōshima, among others, worked for LaLa, which is published monthly by Hakusensha publishing house .

From 1984 to 1985 she drew on her first longer manga, Gakusei no Ryōbun , which was also summarized in three anthologies after its first publication in LaLa. Her next manga series entitled Shō Sansō no Kiraware Sha was first published from 1985 to 1988 and comprises over 1,300 pages in seven edited volumes. This was followed by Colorful Box and Red, as well as the 350-page Tonari no Double . The latter is about a girl who moves into a new apartment with her stepfather, where she meets her new neighbors, twin brothers.

In 1992 she published the art book Salad Nakaji Yūki Gashū .

Hassuru de ikō , which appeared in LaLa from 1994 to 1997, was Nakaji's second manga with a length of 1,000 pages. In 1999 she began the humorous love story Venus in Love , one of her greatest successes to date. In it she tells of the 18-year-old student Suzuna, who loves Shinya, but gets competition from her neighbor Eichi. Venus in Love did not end until 2004, after more than 2,300 pages in twelve anthologies, and was translated into German, English and Spanish, among other things.

From November 2004 to September 2008 ZIG ☆ ZAG was published in LaLa, which was also summarized in nine anthologies. The fourth anthology by ZIG ☆ ZAG was featured in the weekly Japanese manga charts in June 2006, which is why the manga is viewed as commercially successful. ZIG ☆ ZAG also appears in North America.

The new manga by Yuki Nakaji has appeared in the new issue of LaLa magazine since April 2009. In terms of content, Jun-ai Labyrinth is about the girl Hanemi, her older brother Haruto, who becomes a coveted actor, and about a forbidden love. Nakaji will finish the manga in July 2012.
