After Napoleon's dissolution of the Teutonic Order , the properties came to the community of Weilerbach . Einsiedlerhof has belonged to Kaiserslautern since 1932.

Since the development of rail transport, Einsiedlerhof has been and is strongly influenced by the railway, which takes up a large area south of the development. When the largest American garrison in Europe was built in and around Kaiserslautern after the Second World War , it had a lasting impact on Einsiedlerhof's face and the suburb became a focus of entertainment establishments. In line with the exchange rate adjustments of the dollar to the D-Mark and the euro, this development has been reversed in the last few decades.
