Bännjerrück
Bännjerrück is a district of Kaiserslautern , located on a ridge southwest of the city center. The district is located between the Am Belzappel settlement, the Vogelweh district and downtown West; it is separated from the latter by Brandenburger Strasse. To the south-east lies the Karl-Pfaff-Siedlung , at the transition to this is the Galgenschanze railway stop .
In the southwest the district borders on the Palatinate Forest .
The eastern part of the Bännjerrück near the historic Pfaffwerk , especially along the “Auf dem Bännjerrück” road above the later Karl-Pfaff settlement, developed from the 1920s. The western part was laid out between 1950 and 1970 to eliminate the housing shortage of the post-war period.
Together with the district of Karl-Pfaff-Siedlung, 5,410 inhabitants lived there on December 31, 2014 in district 08.
