Yulebacaulis is a genus from the order of the primitive ferns, Zygopteridales . It comes from the Lower Cretaceous of Australia and consists of the only species Yulebacaulis normanii . With this genus the Zygopteridales reach into the Mesozoic .

features

The known fossils of Yulebacaulis comprise the outer bark, leaf stalks, Aphlebiae ( Nebenblatt -like structure) and roots. The vascular bundles of the petiole are watch-glass-shaped (clepsydroid), and parenchyma cells form a loop at both ends of the vascular bundle . There are numerous, non-thread-like Aphlebiae on the petioles.
