He was discovered by the local professional club SM Caen and signed a contract with the second division club in 1984 at the age of 21. In the same year, the trained striker became a regular player, and during the 1987/88 season he contributed eight goals to promotion to the top French division. In the following years he held the class with the team, where he exchanged his place in the storm for a position on the defensive through the coach Daniel Jeandupeux, who was signed in 1989 .

Some time later he was sidelined for a long time due to a serious injury; Nevertheless, he managed to return to a team that was relegated in 1995 despite some new signings. However, in the same year he turned his back on professional football at the age of 33 after 200 first division games with seven goals and 157 second division games with 23 goals and continued his career at third division FC Saint-Denis-Saint-Leu. A year later he returned to Caen, where he no longer played for the professional club, but for his first club ASPTT . For the lower class team he played for a year before he finally stopped playing football in 1998. In 2002 he took on a role in football when he was elected vice-president of AF Vire club.
