Yves Berger

Yves Berger (born January 14, 1931 in Avignon , † November 16, 2004 in Paris ) was a French writer.

Above all, Berger distinguished himself as a connoisseur of America . He reached the peak of his writing with his novel "The World After the Rain". In Germany, Berger was best known for his novel “Great Dream America”. He was considered an exceptional author in literary circles, and his artistic work was often misunderstood. Berger was the literary director of the large French literary publisher Grasset from 1960 to 2000 .
