Yves Swolfs

Yves Swolfs (born April 25, 1955 in Brussels ) is a Belgian comic book author and illustrator. He created, among other things, the western series Durango and the vampire epic The Prince of the Night .

Swolfs studied journalism and took the comics course at the Institut Saint-Luc , which he graduated with a diploma. In 1980 the first volume of his series about the Wild West hero Durango was published by Les Archers , which he also drew himself up to the 13th volume in 1998. In 1988 Glénat started his work Dampierre , which takes place at the time of the French Revolution and was drawn by him up to the third volume. One of his fully written and drawn work is the vampire epic Le prince de la Nuit (Eng. The Prince of the Night ), a completed series published by Glénat between 1994 and 2001.

Yves Swolf is also the author of the dystopian science fiction series Vlad ; the Black Hills western series, which began in 2000 ; the fantasy series Légende (from 2003); as well as other works.
