Yves Zahnd (born October 4, 1985 ) is a former Swiss football player .

Career

Yves Zahnd began his football career at FC Thun , where he made his first appearances in the Super League in the 2006/07 season . Even after relegation to the Challenge League in summer 2008, he was a regular player for the Thun team and was one of the regular players in the 2009/10 season. In total, he played 77 games for the Bernese Oberland club.

Thanks to his achievements, FC Thun was promoted back to the Axpo Super League in 2010 after two years in the second-highest division. On June 27, 2010 it was announced that the central defender will be moving to SC Kriens for one season from the 2010/11 season.

In 2011, Zahnd ended his football career after suffering multiple knee injuries. He has a cartilage damage in his knee which makes a further professional career impossible for him.
