Yvonne Koenig (born April 12, 1987 in Dresden ) is a German racing boat driver .
Career
Yvonne Koenig started her racing career in 2001 and finished fifth in the German championship class DMYV T-550.
From 2002 to 2006 she competed in the German championship of the ADAC Motorboot Cup and in 2006 achieved second place in the championship, her best result in this racing series. In 2005 Koenig became German champion in the S-550 class.
In 2007 she switched to the Formula 500 World Championship, in which outboard racing boats with 200 hp reach speeds of up to 170 km / h. In this series, 10th place in the overall standings in 2007 with the Shark Racing Team was their best placement. In the same year she finished fourth in the O-700 World Championship. Koenig started in 2008 and 2010 in the 1100 cm³ World Championship in which she reached third place with the Thirlby Automotive Team in 2008 and her best placement in this series.
Her biggest success in 2009 was winning the Pro Nationals title of the US championships in the 700cc class.
In 2010, she finished fourth in the North American Formula 3 Championship. In 2012, she and Simone Schuft finished second in the 24-hour race on the Seine in Rouen .
