Yvonne P. Doderer

Yvonne P. Doderer (* 1959 ) is a German architect and university professor .

Life

Yvonne P. Doderer runs the office for transdisciplinary research and cultural production and is professor for Gender & Cultural Studies at the University of Düsseldorf . Her work as a scientist, author and artist moves at the intersection of spatial, urban and cultural theory, gender research and contemporary art.

Doderer studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and received his doctorate with distinction in politics from the Technical University of Dortmund . She has taught at various universities and was visiting professor in the Visual Arts Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge (USA).

In addition to participating in exhibitions, her focus in the international art business is on workshops and lectures (including NTU Center for Contemporary Art Singapore, Württembergischer Kunstverein in Stuttgart, Kunstverein Düsseldorf , Center for Icelandic Art in Reykjavík , SITAC VI, Sexto Simposio Internacional de Teoría sobre Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico- City , Liverpool Biennial Festival of Contemporary Art 2006, Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art in Yerevan ).
