Yyteri

Yyteri ( Swedish : Ytterö ) is the number 60 district of the Finnish city of Pori in the Satakunta countryside . The place is best known for its beach.

Yyteri is located about 17 kilometers from the center of Pori. The beach extends over a length of six kilometers on the Baltic Sea. The shape of the beach is considered to be one of the largest in the Nordic countries.

Yyteri is a popular destination, especially in the summer months. There is a spa hotel and an 18-hole golf course.

In 1965 the Rolling Stones gave a concert in Yyteri, which at the time was still part of the rural community of Pori .
