Záviš from Zap
Záviš von Zap (* around 1350; † after 1411 probably in Prague ) was a Bohemian theologian and composer.
Záviš von Zap became a Baccalaureus in 1379, master's degree in 1381 and professor at Charles University in Prague in 1391 . From 1394 to 1402 he was canon in Olomouc , after which he lived again in Prague. He was last mentioned here in 1411 as a doctor of theology. Some love songs have come down from him, u. a. All joy leaves me , the text of which follows a song of women's praise . He is also credited with several liturgical chants and Latin songs.
