José Sérgio Presti , called Zé Sérgio , (born March 8, 1957 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian soccer coach and former soccer player who played in the position of the striker .

Player career

Zé Sérgio played for São Paulo FC (1977-1984), Santos FC (1984-1986), CR Vasco da Gama (1986-1987) and let his career in the J. League Division 2 with Hitachi SC (1989-1992) end . He won the Brazilian championship in 1977, twice the state championship of São Paulo (1980 and 1981) and once the state championship of Rio de Janeiro (1987). In 1980 he passed a positive drug test for stimulants , but was acquitted because a doctor had prescribed him flu medication.

Between May 1978 and May 1981 he played twenty-five times for Brazil and scored five goals. He was in the squad for the Football World Cup in 1978 and for the Mundialito 1980/81, where Brazil came second.

Coaching career

After his career, he coached the Kashiwa Reysol club in Japan from 1994 to 1995 . Since 2005 he has coached youth teams of his former club São Paulo .
